El Enemigo was founded in 2007 as a project that unites two unique figures: Alejandro Vigil, the winemaker behind Argentina's most awarded wines, and Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolás Catena Zapata. Two minds obsessed with terroir and the search for authenticity in every glass.

Under Vigil's leadership, El Enemigo has become one of the world's great Cabernet Franc producers, with accolades from the planet's most influential critics. In 2026, James Suckling awarded two of their wines 100 points — a historic milestone for Argentine wine.

The name says it all: "At the end of the road, you only remember one battle, the one you fought with yourself, the true enemy; the one that made you unique." Each bottle is exactly that — an uncompromising wine, true to its land and to those who make it.
