Botánico is a landscape wine, as Sebastián Zuccardi himself calls it. The name refers to the native flora that surrounds the vineyards in Gualtallary Monasterio: coirón grass, jarilla, thyme, and broom. This environment, along with the calcareous soils and extreme altitude, imprints a mineral and austere character on the Chardonnay that is reminiscent of a Chablis. 96 points James Suckling.
