Susana Balbo Nosotros Vineyard Malbec

The winery's top-of-the-range wine. "Nosotros" is the name that reflects the collective work of the entire family and team. Each year, the winemakers conduct a blind tasting and choose the vineyard that best expressed itself in that vintage to produce a unique and unrepeatable batch. It has received 98 and 99 points from James Suckling.

WINE PROFILE

100% Malbec, from a single vineyard selected through blind tasting each year from the winery's best sites in Uco Valley (Gualtallary, Los Chacayes or Paraje Altamira depending on the vintage), Mendoza, at 1,100-1,300 meters above sea level. Manual harvest with double selection of bunches and grapes. Cold maceration for 4 days. Fermentation in 6,500-liter oak vats with punch-downs only. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (80% new, 20% second use). Bottled unfiltered.

More than 10 years from harvest.

SUGGESTED PAIRING

Very suitable for quality beef cuts, lamb, aged cheeses, and smoked preparations. Decanting in advance is recommended.
