Mosquita Muerta's most iconic wine and the only single varietal label in the portfolio, which in itself is a statement. A winery that started out making blends broke its own rule to make this Malbec: 1,500 hand-selected bottles per vintage from six barrels.
WINE PROFILE
100% Malbec from three areas of the Uco Valley: 40% Los Chacayes, 30% Gualtallary, and 30% Vista Flores, Mendoza. Hand harvested. Aged for 18 to 24 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle aging. Limited production of 1,500 bottles per vintage.
ALCOHOL
14%
AGING POTENTIAL
A wine with great structure. It can evolve very well for 10 years or more from harvest.
SUGGESTED PAIRING
Pairs very well with quality beef cuts, grilled aged meats, and cured cheeses. Decanting before serving is recommended.
