Mainque is the name of one of the most unique places in the Río Negro Valley, and Chacra uses it for this Chardonnay as a declaration of intent. A white wine made with the same philosophy that guides the entire winery: minimal intervention, expression of the place, living wine.
WINE PROFILE
100% Chardonnay from vineyards in Mainque, Río Negro Valley, Patagonia. A medium-bodied white with good acidity and texture. Made with minimal intervention principles, fermentation with native yeasts and aging in used oak or neutral vessels so as not to mask the character of the terroir. A fresh, tense, and distinctive Chardonnay.
AGING POTENTIAL
Can evolve well between 4 and 7 years from harvest under good conditions.
SUGGESTED PAIRING
Very suitable with fish and seafood, especially baked or grilled preparations. It also pairs well with creamy rice dishes, light pasta with seafood, and fresh or soft cheeses with little aging.
