D.V. Catena Malbec – Malbec is one of the most representative reds in the D.V. Catena line. It is made from two vineyards in Mendoza and seeks a balanced profile, with fruit, volume, and good depth.
WINE PROFILE
It is a varietal Malbec (100%) made with grapes from the Angélica and La Pirámide vineyards. According to the official description, the Angélica vineyard contributes softness, volume, and notes of ripe plums and blackberries, while La Pirámide adds black fruit and a spicier profile. It undergoes 14 days of fermentation, 25 days of maceration, and 12 months of aging in French oak barrels, resulting in a medium to medium-full-bodied wine with round tannins and a long finish.
SUGGESTED PAIRING
It pairs very well with grilled meats, empanadas, pasta with intense sauces, and slow-cooked dishes, accompanying preparations with good intensity without losing balance.
