DV Catena Cabernet-Malbec

D.V. Catena Cabernet–Malbec is a blend from Catena Zapata made from two historic vineyards in Mendoza. It combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the volume and fruit of Malbec, in a balanced and distinctly gastronomic style.

WINE PROFILE

It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. According to the official description, the Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the La Pirámide vineyard and contributes spicy notes and structure, while the Malbec from the Angélica vineyard in Lunlunta adds ripe blackberries, plums, and greater palate breadth. Oak aging adds complexity with notes of vanilla, tobacco, and liqueur. The result is a medium- to medium-full-bodied red wine, with round tannins and a long, persistent finish.
