A Malbec with its own name and Patagonian character. Amor Seco is one of the historic plots in the Río Negro Valley, and Chacra cultivates it with the same care they give to their renowned Pinot Noirs. A wine that invites rethinking what Malbec can offer outside of Mendoza.
WINE PROFILE
100% Malbec from the Amor Seco plot in the Río Negro Valley, Patagonia. A medium-bodied red with finer tannins and more pronounced acidity than a classic Malbec from Mendoza. The cold Patagonian climate and the plot's identity give it a different profile: more tense, fresher, with more salinity. Produced with minimal intervention principles.
AGING POTENTIAL
Capable of evolving for 6 to 10 years from harvest under good conditions.
SUGGESTED PAIRING
Highly compatible with lamb in all its forms, from grilled to oven-baked preparations with herbs. Also pairs well with game meats, spiced stews, and characterful aged cheeses.
