Small Batch Syrah

The Pequeñas Producciones (Small Productions) line is where Escorihuela Gascón works with more freedom and less volume. The Syrah is one of the most unique labels in this line: a variety that in Agrelo shows a spicy profile and good structure, very different from the Malbec that dominates the area.

100% Syrah from Finca Escorihuela Gascón in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. A medium to full-bodied red, spicy, with firm tannins and good acidity. Aged in French and American oak barrels. A classic Syrah with its own personality in an area dominated by Malbec. %

Can evolve well between 6 and 10 years from harvest under good conditions.

SUGGESTED PAIRING

Very well suited to grilled or roasted lamb and pork. Also pairs well with spicy stews, oven-baked ribs with herbs, and strong aged cheeses. A red for those who want to venture beyond Malbec without straying too far from comfort.
