Nico By Luca

Named after one of Laura Catena's sons, Nicola. The grapes come from Finca Las Rosas, in La Consulta, a vineyard planted in 1939 that Laura has known since 1990. Low French-style trellised vines, naturally low yields due to the age of the plants, and one of the most concentrated and serious Malbecs in Luca's entire portfolio.

100% Malbec from Finca Las Rosas, La Consulta, San Carlos, Uco Valley, Mendoza, at 1,000 meters above sea level. Vines planted in 1939. Hand-harvested, unfiltered. Aged for 20 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, 50% new and 50% second use. %

Can evolve very well between 10 and 15 years from harvest.

SUGGESTED PAIRING

Pairs very well with quality grilled beef cuts and flavorful aged cheeses. Decanting at least one hour before serving is recommended.
