Angélica Zapata Chardonnay

A white that takes variety seriously. Catena Zapata applies the same rigor to this Chardonnay as to its reds: high-altitude vineyards, careful selection, and oak aging. The result is a wine with body and complexity, far from easy, characterless whites.

100% Chardonnay from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza. Medium-to-full-bodied white, with good acidity and creamy texture. Aging in French oak barrels, partly with malolactic fermentation, provides roundness and depth. A Chardonnay with a strong presence on the palate but without losing freshness. %

Can evolve favorably between 5 and 8 years from harvest if well-preserved.

SUGGESTED PAIRING

It pairs very well with baked fish, gratin seafood, and creamy rice dishes. It also comfortably accompanies pasta dishes with cream sauces, roast chicken with herbs, and soft cheeses with some maturation.
